This afternoon (July 5, 2023), the Party Committee of Hanoi University of Science and Technology held a ceremony to announce the decision to establish the Party Department of the School of Materials and the Party Department of the School of Chemistry and Life Sciences. This is an important step in the development roadmap of the two units in particular and of Hanoi University of Science and Technology in general.
School of Materials and School of Chemistry and Life Sciences are two new schools established by the Resolution of Hanoi University of Science and Technology on March 29, 2023.
The School of Materials was established on the basis of the reorganization of the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering; Institute of Textiles - Footwear and Fashion; International Training Institute in Materials Science (ITIMS), Research Center for Polymer and Composite Materials and Department of Printing Technology.
School of Chemistry and Life Sciences on the basis of reorganization of Institute of Chemical Engineering, Institute of Biotechnology & Food Technology, Institute of Environmental Science and Technology, Institute of Research and Application Development of Compounds nature.

In order to soon complete the organizational work of the two newly established Universities, the Party Committee of the University has developed a Project on the establishment of new Party departments of the two new universities and has been approved by the Party Committee of the Hanoi Universities and Colleges. via.
On that basis, the University Party Committee discussed, reached a high consensus and issued a Resolution on the dissolution of the Party departments: Institute of Materials Science and Technology, Institute of Chemical Engineering, Institute of Biotechnology and Institute of Biotechnology. - The Party Department of the School of Materials consists of 9 branches with 81 members. - The Party Committee of Truong Hoa and Life Sciences division consists of 11 branches with 111 members.
