The School of Materials provides specialized training to meet the human resource needs of all industrial fields

School of Materials - Hanoi University of Science and Technology - was established on the basis of merging the following units: Institute of Materials Science and Technology; Institute of Textiles - Footwear and Fashion; International Training Institute in Materials Science (ITIMS), Research Center for Polymer and Composite Materials and Department of Printing Technology.

GS. Huynh Trung Hai – School of Research Management – was appointed Principal of the School of Materials.

The School of Materials trains undergraduate and graduate majors related to traditional materials and new materials, meeting the human resource needs of all industrial fields, such as: engineering , advanced materials, materials and nanostructure fabrication technology from source materials to smelting, forming processing, non-ferrous alloys and surface treatment; electronic materials science, microelectronic engineering and nanotechnology; optical, optoelectronic and photonic materials; textile technology - footwear and fashion; polymeric materials - polymeric-based composites, printing and communication techniques.

The professional qualifications of the lecturers of the School of Materials are shown through impressive numbers: 93.65% of the School's lecturers are PhDs, nearly 40% of the lecturers have the titles of Professor, Associate Professor.

Trường Hóa và Khoa học sự sống – Đại học Bách khoa Hà Nội được thành lập trên cơ sở sáp nhập 4 Viện: Viện Kỹ thuật hóa học, Viện Công nghệ Sinh học & Công nghệ Thực phẩm, Viện Khoa học và Công nghệ môi trường, Viện Nghiên cứu và Phát triển ứng dụng các hợp chất thiên nhiên. Trường có đội ngũ giảng viên và cán bộ được đào tạo bài bản, có trình độ cao với trên 90% giảng viên có học vị tiến sĩ và gần 40% giảng viên có học hàm giáo sư, phó giáo sư.
