INTRODUCTION
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Viet is currently a senior lecturer and assistant to the Deans of the School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE), Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Viet graduated as an engineer majoring in metallurgy at Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2000; received a master’s degree in Materials Science, Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2002; completed the PhD thesis majoring in Materials Science and Engineering, Ulsan University, Korea in 2009. Current research directions of Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Viet includes: Agglomerate technology of iron oxides, reduction kinetics in direct reduction and smelting reduction of iron ore, synthesis and application of Al-, Ti-, and Fe-based amorphous alloys and quasi-crystal alloys, HEA (High-entropy alloy) preparation by mechanical alloying and consolidation processes, and especially application of artificial intelligence (AI) in metallurgical industry.
