INTRODUCTION
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Chi Trung is currently a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Textile, Faculty of Textile-Leather and Fashion, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Chi Trung graduated in Clothing Technology, Technical University of Liberec, Czech Republic in 1992. In 1997, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Chi Trung completed his PhD thesis majoring in Textile Engineering, Technical University of Liberec, Czech Republic. Current research directions of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Chi Trung includes: Improvement of apparel manufacturing technology, Applied lean manufacturing in apparel production; Research on the properties and quality of the apparel products; Automation of manufacturing process; 3D design of garment products; smart cloths; Research on new sewing materials and new techniques in the design, production of garment products; Research on new garment products used in special environments.

- Improvement of apparel manufacturing technology, Applied lean manufacturing in apparel production.
- Research on the properties and quality of the apparel products, firstly focusing on the seam pucker, durability, stability properties of products, product comfort, user-friendly properties.
- Automation of manufacturing process; 3D design of garment products; smart cloths.
- Research on new sewing materials (coating fabric, membrane fabric, fabric with nano-surface, nano-elements,...) and new techniques in the design, production of garment products.
- Research on new garment products used in special environments: waterproof clothes, protective clothes (fireproof, bulletproof, ...).
