Scientific background

INTRODUCTION

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Phan Thanh Thao is a lecturer at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Her area of expertise is in the Department of Textiles, Leather, and Fashion. She completed her graduation in Clothing Technology from Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 1993, followed by a Master's degree in Textile Material Technology in 1999. She earned her PhD degree in Textile and Clothing Technology from Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2006. In 2011, she was awarded the title of Associate Professor in the field of Mechanical-Dynamics Engineering. Current research directions of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Phan Thanh Thao includes: 
  • Applying high-tech clothing technology in production
  • Surveying and optimizing the stitch-forming process and seam on the technical fabrics and on the fabrics with special features
  • Research optimizing the garment technological  processing: covering fabrics, cutting, sewing
